Backyard Studios:
The Zine.

YXE Backyard Studios: The Zine is a black and white, booklet style publication that is printed once a season. YXE Backyard Studios: the Zine started as a response to feeling over exposed from social media and general societal bullshit.

The first issue is focused on inner work and can be enjoyed easily independently. The first issue includes games, and listicles to help focus the reader back away from the vast internet and back to themselves.

The second issue emphasizes being in the physical world as opposed to the virtual world. The zine is best experienced on paper because it needs to be turned, twisted, folded, drawn on and held against the light.

Takey Takey Prize Machine

because it’s fun.

We built Takey Takey Prize Machine because who doesn’t want to win prizes? She has a catchy little tune and was in Nuit Blanche 2023 and saw up to 800 people!

Build it.

Building things is fun for us. We love the process of planning and working out logistics to make things work. Takey takey fits through a standard door, comes apart in two pieces (top and bottom) and can be put into the back of a standard truck bed. It also is on wheels so we can move it around easily.
