About BackYard Studios

Our printmaking, custom frames, furniture, and art shipping services are things we enjoy doing. We don’t have to do anything we do at Backyard Studios. We just like to and, for that reason, we do a good job.

We both have regular jobs, kids, and all the regular life stuff. All of our projects happen because we scratch up the time and stay up late. We know how much artists pour into their work because we, too, are artist.

We are Jacob and Jeni. And we are people who do their best to bring our passion projects to life.  We make prints because we love making prints. We carve every block, pick every colour, take every reference photo and learn something new every time. 

Every piece of furniture we build or alter, we do ourselves. And maybe with some help our friends. We have the best friends who sometimes happen to be awesome trades people. We believe in community, doing our best, and being nice because who wants to be the reason the world is meaner?

Prices vary between prints even within editions. We also have a much larger collection than is categorized on our website. We encourage you to contact us for more information.

Maybe you need help hanging the physical art piece or have trouble deciding where to put your newly purchased art. We can help you with that.

Art Shipping

Trust us with your valuable art. We treat your work like our own work. We know what it feels like to create something and need it shipped far away. That can be a scary feeling. Rest assured! We have the skills and knowledge to keep the odds in our favour and get your goods to their location safely.

Custom Framing

Each frame is made with intention for the piece it highlights. We believe the frames of a piece are also works of art in themselves. We can do almost any size, do matting, float mounting, and can custom match to any need.
